Last weekend, my sisters and friends put on a fantastic baby shower for me and Baby Carter! I am so overwhelmed by the love and support from all these women and can’t get over how lucky Carter is to come into the world with this support group. A million “thank you”s to everyone involved. It was an amazing day!
I’ve already begun thinking about holiday giving. We give to the same charities every year: St. Jude’s, ASPCA, and Raleigh Rescue Mission. I stumbled across this great article the other day in the November 2014 issue of Health magazine and I started thinking about what other charities are out there that I could give back to. The article talked about how millennials give more during the holidays than older generations, and just how popular crowdfunding has become.

Seriously, could Halloween have come any sooner this year? This is the first year in 7 years that I haven’t put up any fall or Halloween decor, and I’ll be honest, it is bumming me out. It just came so quick, and just as quickly we’ll be sitting around the table thinking of our blessings and then putting the tree up and listening to carols.
