This weekend has been full of celebrations! Today is an exciting day for my Under the Oaks partner-in-crime, as I’m wishing Crystal a very happy 30th birthday! It’s going to be an exciting year for her and I’m so lucky to be able to help her celebrate today!
Last night, Jason and I celebrated the wedding of our friends Tim and Stacy. The reception was held at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences’s Nature Research Center and was so much fun. In the center of the room is a giant skeleton of a whale and lots of interesting exhibits scattered around. There’s also a three-story semi-enclosed theater where he dancing took place. Such a fun way to celebrate with our friends and we wish then so much happiness in their new life together!Later on today, we will finally be moving into our master bedroom! The paint color is on, her closet doors are (about to be) installed, and some bed frame shopping will be happening. Hopefully we will find what we are looking for this afternoon but, if not, we’re moving in anyway! I’m ready, it’s happening. Plus, the shuffling of bedrooms has to happen so I can get nesting in the nursery! I sold our amazing vintage Mayline drafting table (sadly) that was taking up the room so the transition has officially begun. [holy cow.]
And, this will be the last full week of waiting to find out what Baby Zdroik will be! A week from Monday is our doctor’s appointment and, as long as I don’t peek or change my mind, two weeks from yesterday we will be finding out with family and friends at our gender reveal party! There’s so much to be excited about this week and I really couldn’t be happier and feel more thankful for the amazing people we have in our lives.
Wishing you all a happy week! — Annie
