Happy 4th of July from Williamsburg

This year the hubby and I decided to make the quick jaunt to [Colonial] Williamsburg, Virginia for a couple of days to celebrate our country’s birth and independence. What could be more appropriate? We’ve done this 2 other times in the past and we always have a really good time. There’s spirit, history, and fun for the entire family.

Tonight we are going to gather outside the Governor’s Palace where we will get to enjoy a Fife and Drums performance before celebrating with fireworks. In years prior they had fireworks in three different locations throughout the town and if you pick a spot in the Market Square you can enjoy all 3! Also, fireworks seem to go on rain or shine, as we’ve learned in the past. So, despite the rainy, gloomy weather as of late, we look forward to celebrating regardless.

Wherever you are today we wish you all a Happy Independence Day and hope you are surrounded with the ones you love. We are thankful for all of our readers, family, and friends, and most of all the freedoms we are afforded every day by those that throughout time have been so brave.

Happy 4th of July! xoxo ‘n lols, crystal
